Professor Nicolas James will join Mike Hughes as a keynote speaker for the Sport Performance Innovation Forum in May 2018.
Professor James is a world leading researcher in the areas of Neural Networks, Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining Techniques for sports performance. He will share his extensive knowledge gained in his roles as a Professor, and leader of a world leading post graduate sports analytics course, and as a data analysis consultant to many professional sporting bodies (including UK Sport, English Institute of Sport, Swansea Football, Saracens Rugby, Welsh Rugby, and Welsh Football).
Professor James is currently Chair of the International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport and has delivered more than 30 international keynote speeches about data analytics in sport. He has published around 70 peer reviewed articles on Analytics in Sport and is also a world renowned expert in the area of data visualisation and the application of novel statistical methods applied to sporting data.
This aside, Professor James is also an international level squash coach and national standard participant across a range of sports such as football and golf.
