Screen Auckland, as part of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, supports the development of a world-class, skilled workforce, in close association with key screen sector partners and guilds.
While we do not directly connect job seekers with screen companies for employment, we provide information on how you can find career opportunities.
How to get started
Find your role
If you are looking for work in the screen industry, Screen Auckland suggests you monitor film industry services in New Zealand and apply for jobs directly with New Zealand-based production companies. You'll find them in The Databook below, via Google, or via the following industry services.
You can also monitor these more general NZ job sites for roles:
If you are new to the screen industry, you can find out which role is aligned with what you are looking for by reading the job descriptions associated with each listing. You can also find out the knowledge and requirements for each role.
If you are looking for roles in casting or as an extra, you reach out to the Actors Agency Association New Zealand. If you are a filmmaker or aspiring filmmaker, read our 5-step guide to filmmaking, and check out the 48Hours Film Project and The Outlook for Someday.
