Once again, Auckland’s biggest cultural festival the drew large crowds to the Auckland Domain to experience hundreds of handmade lanterns and an extensive programme of local and international performers, street food stalls, art and craft displays and demonstrations.
The Auckland Lantern Festival is delivered by ATEED on behalf of Auckland Council in conjunction with founding partner the Asia New Zealand Foundation. Asia New Zealand Foundation Executive Director, Simon Draper says the festival is a fantastic opportunity for Aucklanders to learn more about Chinese traditions and contemporary culture. ASB and Harcourts are the lead corporate sponsors.
The second ASB Lantern Forum again provided a strong business element to the successful festival, including keynote speaker Maggie Zhou, Managing Director Australia & New Zealand at Alibaba, who inspired the audience with new thinking, knowledge and insights into doing business with China.
